Hagmann trombone hand rest
Our exclusive RM 09 hand-rest suits all trombones, from tenor to bass. Introduced over 30 years ago, its success is still going strong since its quality speaks for itself. Holding your instrument becomes effortless and pleasant. Our hand rest eliminates most of the tension and strain required to operate the F and/or D levers.
A wide range of adjustment options ensures optimum comfort. The extra-fine leather cushion, mounted on an aspherical ball-and-socket joint, is interchangeable when required (Ref. RM 54).
To be compatible with the various compact cases on the market, our hand-rest can easily be dismantled (no tools are required). The cushion/articulated arm assembly is attached to a ring, permanently fixed to the bell brace, by means of a knurled sleeve, screwed onto the ring’s threaded finger.
An ingenious geometric shape makes it easy to memorize the initial fit, avoiding subsequent readjustments. If you have two instruments, it is recommended to buy two fixing rings, but only one transferable cushion.
The René Hagmann RM09 hand rest is adaptable to most trombones on the market, providing a width of 12mm is available on the bell brace for that purpose. The fixing ring is bored to 12mm diameter, and 10.8 and 9.5mm reduction sleeves are supplied with the kit. Reducer sleeves of any intermediate size are available on request, at no extra charge.
The tone ring
Our resonance tone ring easily clips around the knurling on the engraved lid and holds in place thanks to its spring effect. It can be put on and taken off at will. It improves staccato, and generates a more centered and compact sound, especially in the low register. Homogeneity and dynamics are enhanced. It fits all our valves, from all registers.
